Chuck Liddell Discusses Post-Retirement Plans with ESPN

UFC light heavyweight Chuck Liddell

Chuck Liddell fought his heart out for over 12 Hall of Fame years. During yesterday’s surprise retirement ceremony, “The Iceman” fought back tears as he said farewell to the sport he’s helped build.

The former light heavyweight champ wasn’t quite as emotional when he discussed his retirement and subsequent promotion to UFC executive VP of fighter development when talking with ESPN2′s ‘MMA Live’ crew.

Liddell ends his illustrious career with a 21-8 record. The slugger ended 13 of his wins via some form of knockout.

The 41-year-old’s impact on the sport could never be truly measured. His trademark mohawk was synonymous with the UFC when the company was just starting its mainstream ascent.
