Tony Ferguson TUF 13 Finale

Tony “El Cucuy” Ferguson (11-2) will make his lightweight debut at UFC 135 in Denver as he is scheduled to face battle-tested veteran Aaron Riley (30-12-1). The UFC announced the fight today via Twitter.

The controversial Ferguson is on a four fight win streak, including his first round knockout of Ramsey Nijem in the welterweight final of the 13th season of “The Ultimate Fighter” earlier this month. Riley has been out of action since a victory over Joe Brammer at UFC 116 in July of last year. Riley, who has competed professionally for fourteen years, has defeated the likes of Michihiro Omigawa, Jorge Gurgel, and Shane Nelson.

UFC 135 will be headlined by a light heavyweight title bout between Jon Jones and Quinton “Rampage” Jackson, as well as a welterweight showdown between UFC Hall of Famer Matt Hughes and Diego Sanchez.

It is not known whether the bout between Ferguson and Riley will be a part of the pay-per-view portion of the card or the prelims.
