Now that we know the Green Bay Packers are an early 2.5 point favorite against the Pittsburgh Steelers at Super Bowl XLV, let’s take a look at the betting odds for the game’s opening act. “UFC 126: Silva vs. Belfort” takes place February 5th and features a middleweight title scrap between champion Anderson Silva and Vitor Belfort.
The Gambling Gods initially pegged Silva a -240 favorite to retain his title when the line first opened a couple months back. With game time steadily approaching, it appears the chips are starting to stack behind “The Spider’s” side of the sand.
Silva is now listed at -270, while his challenger comes in at +210.
However, as sure as the Pack won’t remain 2.5 point favorites, it will be interesting to see how the money moves in the battle of Brazil.
The star-studded card takes place at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.
