EW reports that Twilight star Jackson Rathbone–no relation to Sherlock Holmes’ Basil Rathbone, but is related to Stonewall Jackson, the Confederate General–may have landed a recurring role on No Ordinary Family. Rathbone will be playing a teen victimized by a home invasion, and the show’s executive producer Greg Berlanti is hinting that he will be a potential love interest for Daphne (Kay Panabaker).

Berlanti is no stranger to superhero themes. As a writer on the upcoming Green Lantern film starring Ryan Reynolds, he is playing in familiar territory here. Landing Rathbone should pack a little extra starpower to his show, which premieres on ABC Tuesday, September 28. Also can’t hurt to have Dexter’s darling Julie Benz and Shield’s Michael Chiklis on board.
